Job summary
Data Quality Analyst, Band 7, 37.5 hours per week
This is newly developed post within the Quality Governance team. The post holder will have access to a wide range of data from governance activities, quality metrics, workforce, performance and soft intelligence in order to triangulate, take options from and make recommendations within reports at various levels in order to focus resource and bring about change.
This post will give the successful candidate an opportunity to support triangulation of data from a wide variety of sources in order to support identification of themes and trends and areas for improvement as well as identifying areas of good practice to share learning.
Main duties of the job
- To act as a Trust lead in providing a specialist analytical and statistical service throughout the Trust and other agencies, with particular emphasis on highly complex data modelling and projection analyses.
- To encourage and develop consistent use of reporting tools and methodologies for quality and safety purposes throughout the Trust.
- To take a key role in improving data quality and data integrity throughout the Trust and promote the importance of data quality throughout the organisation.
- The post holder will provide an expert service to the Trust in highly complex and specialist data modelling and analyses to support the activity of clinical and administrative departments.
- They will take a lead role in the coordination and provision of information to support national and local requirements, in particular Quality Assurance, planning patient safety activity and monitoring Trust performance against local and national targets.
- The post holder will develop the use of the Trust reporting System.
- Data quality will also be a key task, and the post holder will have a major responsibility for improving data quality throughout the organisation.
- They will be expected to promote the provision and use of high-quality data in line with the Trusts Policy.
