Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

The changes mean that:

• youth cautions, reprimands and final warnings will no longer be subject to automatic disclosure
• the multiple conviction rule has been removed, meaning that if an individual has more than one conviction, regardless of offence type or time passed, each conviction will be considered against the remaining rules individually, rather than being automatically disclosed.

Qualifications

Essential

• oQualified to degree level or equivalent experience
• oEvidence of post registration qualifications/ professional development in related health field
• oChartered Society of Physiotherapy recognised Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent
• oMembership of relevant professional body
• oRegistered with Health Professional Council

Desirable

• oPost registration qualification in teaching/ assessing (ENB 998/NST 307)
• oTraining and/or qualification relating to clinical supervision
• oIndependent non-medical prescribing qualification
• oPost graduate teaching qualification
• oLeadership qualification

Experience

Essential

• oPrevious experience post qualification
• oExperience of providing supervision.
• oDemonstrable experience of providing teaching/training

Desirable

• Experience of Community rehabilitation

Knowledge

• oDemonstrable interest in continuing developing knowledge and skills in area specialism
• oEvidence of continuing professional development.
• oAbility to manage complex caseload
• oAbility to drive high level multi-disciplinary practice to maximum potential
