Job summary
Medical Education Coordinator Band 4 - 37.5hrs - WCH
The medical education team is responsible for the provision of undergraduate and post graduate education within the NCIC trust on behalf of Health Education England North East, Foundation and Specialty Schools, Newcastle University Medical School and UCLan in line with the trusts LDA's and SLA's.
The medical education department covers the entire Trust and we have 2 different physical bases-one at Carlisle and one at West Cumberland Hospital. This post will be based at WCH primarily but there may be occasions when travel is required. Flexible working and working from home are options.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the post is to provide support to the Medical Education Team to develop all educational opportunities/activities in Medical Education. To co-ordinate Medical Education, including learning provision for students, trainee doctors and trainers (Clinical and Educational Supervisors) in all specialties across the Trust. This includes all aspects of administration including induction co-ordination, timetabling, room bookings, record keeping and general office management. A different working pattern may be required at peak times.
