Job summary

INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY

Health Records - Team Leader B3 - 26.25hrs available -

The Health Records Department provides a comprehensive service with a full range of general and acute specialties, providing a secure records library on behalf of the Trust. The Department tracks, locates and delivers case notes to authorised users within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Ensure Health Records functions operate effectively, by providing day to day supervision of all staff in the library, scanning bureau and preparation office.

Allocate work within the team and monitor team performance and compliance with internal deadlines and Service Key Performance Indicators.

Induct and support new staff to the team.

Ensure legacy case note delivery is provided 'to the right place and at the right time'.

Ensure that legacy paper records are prepared and digitally scanned by the team in a timely manner and available for clinical services.

Liaise with the Health Records Manager and provide timely, accurate information regarding any potential problems.

Identify issues for quality improvement and liaise with the Head of Department regarding these issues.

Implement departmental policies and work practices and propose changes to policy or practice.

Assist colleagues to achieve the objectives of the department and consequently the objectives of the Trust.
