Advanced Specialist Pharmacist - Rheumatology

Our rheumatology service embraces the integral role the pharmacist provides to our multidisciplinary team. This is a newly created post and we are looking to recruit a specialist pharmacist who is also a non-medical prescriber.

This post is suitable for primary care pharmacists who are looking to further develop their clinical skills.

Main duties of the job

You will provide care to our patients in dedicated pharmacist led clinics. These will include osteoporosis clinics and patients on DMARDs/ Biologics and high cost drugs. You will utilise your consultation skills, clinical decision making skills in conjunction with specialist pharmaceutical knowledge in order to provide the best care to our patients

You will be given training and clinical supervision by our experienced pharmacist and senior medical colleagues.

You will contribute to the governance agenda within rheumatology. There is also the opportunity to participate in research.
