Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Speech and Language Therapy team in Carlisle and Eden. This is full time permanent position providing a Speech and Language Therapy service to adults with a variety of communication aNd swallowing disorders

This post is a mixed acute and community post working on the acute wards in Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle and across Carlisle and Eden community. The successful candidate will be expected to travel across North Cumbria and therefore being able to drive is essential for this post.

You will be working in a small friendly team with well established supervision and training opportunities. Full support will be given to complete dysphagia competencies.

Main duties of the job

Regular lone working will be required within the scope of practice with training, regular supervision and support from the Speech and Language Therapy team. This post will involve working face to face with patients in a multiple of locations and also indirectly via telephone and telemedicine platforms
