Practice Placement Facilitator
The post is a secondment/fixed term PPF Post (B7) to support the delivery of the EELE team across the NENC. The PPF will be working with the North Cumbria Clinical Lead for EELE and the Strategic Lead to deliver the programme, understanding the NHS pre and post registration education agenda for clinical professionals and how that impacts on practice placements, Higher Education Institutes and placement providers.
You will need experience in the principles of placement management, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to identify and influence key stakeholder groups. The PPF will need to support the development and increase of placements across the North Cumbria ICP.
Main duties of the job
To work on behalf of the ICB and in partnership with NHSE, education and training providers including HEIs, local employers and other stakeholders across the wider health and care system to:
- positively influence and improve the quality of the learning environment within the general practice setting and particularly focused across one of the local Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs) within the wider NCNE Integrated Care System (ICS) - North Cumbria, providing support, supervision, educational and professional development opportunities.
- support placement providers across the health and care system in a designated ICP to maximise placement opportunities, working closely with education providers to ensure quality placements for current and planned healthcare learners, particularly nurses, midwives and allied health professionals
- assist the development of place-based options for the support of effective learning environments going forwards, including models of place-based tariff across the system within an assigned ICP
- assist in the workforce development portfolios across the whole Northeast and North Cumbria ICS to support locally identified priorities.
