Overseas Visitors Administrator band 3 - 37.5 hours available CIC

The North Cumbria Integrated Care Overseas Team is in charge of identifying and charging overseas visitors who do not qualify for free NHS care under Department of Health regulations. An opportunity has arisen for a Overseas Visitors Administrator to join our small team. The team provides a comprehensive, effective, and confidential support to all patients in the Trust.

The post holder will support with gathering evidence, processing, and filing for overseas visitor patient casework, as well as ensuring accurate data recording to ensure the correct charging of all overseas patient activity in this varied and interesting role.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities for the role are:

  • The post holder will support the Deputy Overseas Visitor Manager in providing a range of administrative and finance functions in identifying overseas visitors who are not eligible for free NHS treatment.
  • They will gather evidence of patient eligibility by sending letters to patients, submitting requests to the NHSBSA and the Home office.
  • To provide patients and staff with knowledge and guidance regarding overseas visitors' regulations and deal with enquires.
  • They post holder will ensure accurate data recording and record keeping for overseas visitors in all Trust systems.
