The newly created post is located within the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, which provides a variety of healthcare services covering the Lake District and is also close to the beautiful Scottish Borders.

  • To maintain competences, a registered Pharmacy Technician who has completed an Accredited Accuracy Checking course can undertake the role of an ACT by carrying out the final accuracy check of dispensed medications when required, in accordance with all pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Undertake NVQ assessments of student pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants.
  • Assist in the management and introduction of robotics within dispensary/distribution areas; implement policies and procedures, ensuring staff are fully conversant with its operation
