Job summary
Team Secretary, Support Services . Band 3, 37.5 hours per week
A brilliant opening for a motivated individual who lives by the NCIC values and wishes engage in supporting the corporate nursing team to meet their objectives. This person must be able to support, organise and manage the deputy chief nurse and heads of nursing by running an efficient office and clerical functions to support them in their day-to-day roles. The role gives an insight into how a corporate team functions in the NHS and the various career opportunities that may be available in the service. This role gives the opportunity to develop transferable skills leading to the possibility of stepping into other NHS roles to developing a rewarding lifelong NHS career. Main duties of the job
- Word processing, filing, photocopying, diary management, meeting organisation, minute taking, typing up minutes, distribution of minutes.
- Maintain the Heads of Nursing diaries and arrange appointments and meetings, coordinating meetings to fit in with commitments.
- Deal with case notes appropriately, sending to the correct department when required, ensuring they reach clinics and wards on time, and updating their location in PAS.
- Type presentations and input to databases using different software applications.
- Compose letters as required.
- Organise and take part in projects with support from the team
- Book travel arrangements and workshops/conferences
- Be available to support at meetings during the week
