Specialist Pharmacist Community Services - Band 7 - Permanent Post

Are you a qualified pharmacist looking to expand your clinical skills?

This post is a unique opportunity to join our close-knit team who provide clinical pharmacy services to community hospital locations and sites across North Cumbria.

In our community hospitals you have the opportunity to gain detailed and in-depth knowledge of patients, contribute to MDT discussions and make recommendations for patients' treatment. You will also act as a vital communication link between primary and secondary care and ensure continuity of care from the acute setting back to primary care.

Our team provide clinical pharmacy services to community locations in Brampton, Penrith, Keswick, Cockermouth, Workington and Whitehaven.

Our community based services also include sexual health, immunisation, district nursing, specialist dental and musculoskeletal teams.

Main duties of the job

You must be able to work independently however support will be provided by our experienced pharmacists and medicines management technicians.

We have an excellent track record of career advancement for our community hospital pharmacists who have subsequently been successful in advanced clinical roles

You must have access to car and/ or the ability to transport yourself across the county.

There will be an on-call and 7 day working commitment
