Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated band 6 Physiotherapist to join the WCH Home first team as part wider WCH Acute Physiotherapy inpatient team. To cover a 12 month maternity.

This post provides the opportunity to work within an extremely experienced, skilled and dynamic team at the western edge of the Lake District and offers ready access to one of the most beautiful areas of the UK.

Based within A&E and SDEC at WCH, you will provide specialist assessment and treatment to a varied caseload at times at pace, working extremely closely with MDT from both the acute and community sectors. The post is 37.5 hours as part of a 7 days per week shift rota.

This role offers you an opportunity to work within a team offering robust appraisals, preceptorship, clinical and managerial supervision. Continuing professional development is encouraged and we are proud of our varied and interesting in-house training programme which you will be involved in.

Main duties of the job

To practice in accordance with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Rules of Professional Conduct and The Health Professions Council Regulations.

To work autonomously with an increasingly complex caseload undertaking assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and providing appropriate advice.

Emphasis is placed on the provision of a holistic care package tailored to the individual's needs with the aim of developing maximum function and hence improving quality of life.
