Job summary

Band 6 Safeguarding Advisor, 37.5 hours per week

The Safeguarding Advisors will focus on supporting Trust staff to offer a good response to safeguarding concerns, for adults, children and the unborn; providing expert clinical leadership to colleagues on the front line to help staff understand and fulfil their roles in safeguarding.

This post requires specialist experience in working with children.

Main duties of the job

Offer support to the Advice and Support line function

Attend relevant MARAC meetings to support a multi-disciplinary response to domestic abuse

Work with the Named Nurses to monitor and report on safeguarding activity within the Trust

Work proactively with teams and departments to ensure adherence to protocols around Safeguarding

Be involved in system developments which support good Safeguarding practice

Encourage a Think Family approach and patient centred practice
