Job summary

The postholder will lead and manage the delivery of soft services functions: cleaning, security,portering, mail, reception, catering, grounds, and pest control. Services are delivered using acombination of in-house directly employed team members and external suppliers.Ensure all statutory and NHS standards are maintained, services are delivered efficiently inline with good practice, and that value for money is achieved

Main duties of the job

? To lead, motivate, manage and co-ordinate the efficient and effective delivery of softservices, and be responsible for the effective service monitoring, review and remedialaction-taking across all areas of responsibility.? Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of services are provided andresponsible for the ongoing review and updating of work related schedules withinthese services areas.? Work flexibly across entire range of service operations, ensuring correct focus andpriority is maintained and key initiatives and or projects prioritised in accordance withthe Trust's strategy and operational plans.? Contribute to the formulation of plans, objectives and implementation of associatedactions to meet the Directorate's business planning process.? To work collaboratively with Estates Services colleagues in relation to the delivery ofthe facilities services.? To manage the Soft Services team, which comprises 4 direct reports and 8 furtherindirect reports, as well as outsourced service delivery partners.
