Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Locum Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the Child Complex Service Line at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust to work in the Fostering and Adoption Service for 2 days a week and in the Autism Assessment Pathway for 2 sessions a week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, with experience and interest in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families.

The post holder will offer assessment, consultation and interventions as appropriate to children and adolescents alongside working with parents and carers and professionals from the local authority and third sector. The applicant will need to be available to work with the FACKT team on Wednesday mornings, other days are flexible.

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

Desirable

  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
  • MRCPsych
  • Additional clinical qualifications.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • CCT (or within 6 months of CCT) in psychiatry or CCT equivalent.
