Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an effective, efficient and friendly, service user focused administration service, supporting the achievement of local and Trust objectives, working as a member of a functional, team, ensuring robust communication and liaison with your administrative colleagues and with clinical practitioners. Responsible for managing a team of administrators and ensuring the provision of a professional, comprehensive and effective administrative service to the Division/Service Line/Team.
They will provide effective and efficient administration which supports management by ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources throughout the teams you lead.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have responsibility for the operational line management of the administrative staff, ensuring cover is provided during absences/annual leave and that work is distributed in an equitable way between the post holder and the administrative staff. This includes supervision, PTL, training and support.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the team is compliant with a range of performance standards and targets, in relation to clinical administration, and will plan, manage and monitor all aspects of clinical administration s. This post requires an understanding of organisational systems and the capacity to communicate information of a complex and sensitive nature within and between organisations. Planning and prioritising to a high level, effective management of the clinical administrative services using judgement when balancing competing and complex commitments and the ability to identify difficult situations is essential.
