Job summary
You will join the Camden CAMHS Wellbeing Team, which is an early intervention service that provides evidence based group and individual interventions with children, young people and families with mildto moderate mental health difficulties. Your role will include consultation, assessment, therapy, supervision as well as service development, evaluation and training. The Wellbeing Team is part of the Camden CAMHS Service which delivers high quality care to the local population of 0-18 years old.
All Wellbeing clinician/supervisors have the opportunity to carry their own caseload and be involved in or lead on service development projects such as groups, workshops and service user participation.Your career professional development will be taken seriously with robust supervisory support and training available.
Main duties of the job
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified mental health practitioner with an EMHP, CWP or CYP IAPT CBT post graduate qualification. You will join our expanding Wellbeing Team providing an emotional wellbeing pathway within community CAMHS. The role will involve:
- Assessment of mild to moderate CWP cases for children, young people and families
- Providing individual and group CWP interventions with mild to moderate mental health and behavioural difficulties.
- Care Coordination and Multi-agency working
- Supporting the CWP Service Lead in service developments in our newly established emotional wellbeing pathway
- Clinical intake work including screening, information gathering and advice and signposting
- Mentoring and supporting less experienced staff and trainees
About us
The CWP Team provides guided self-help interventions to children, young people and families with mild to moderate mental health and behavioural difficulties within Camden CAMHS. Both Community CAMHS teams support Camden's young people (0-18) emotional wellbeing needs with evidence-based therapeutic interventions, from assessment to treatment. These multi-disciplinary teams are staffed by experienced CAMHS Clinicians including: psychologists, child psychotherapists, child and adolescent psychiatrists, nurses and family therapists.
There may be future opportunities for extension of this contract.
