Job summary

The Hive is a mental health and wellbeing service designed for and created by young people. We support young people aged 16 to 24 in Camden who need support transitioning between children's and adult mental health services. We are part of The Minding the Gap programme, a cross-cutting support service delivered by a unique partnership involving the voluntary sector and NHS trust. The service is led by Catch 22 (see below) but provided jointly by Catch 22, The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and Camden and Islington Mental Health Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide clinical and line management supervision of 5 young people workers by doing joint assessments, overseeing their caseloads, overseeing care plans and risk management and safety plans, monitoring goals, and supporting the bridging of young people into other services.

As well as this they will attend the Minding the Gap meetings which facilitates young people's transition from agencies working with young people, (including Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) into adult mental health services

About us

We are based in the community and are an enthusiastic and committed team. The post holder will join the management team of the HIVE which consists of the Catch 22 Director, Service Manager, Senior Young Persons Wellbeing Practitioner and Youth Programme Coordinator in shaping the direction of the service and contributing to day-to-day operational management.

  • Degree level as a minimum plus developed specialist and practical knowledge equating to postgraduate degree/ Masters level
  • Registration with HCPC or relevant body as a Clinical Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Social Worker, Nurse, Psychotherapist, or Systemic Therapist

Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of clinical experience of working with client population. A clear track record of managing complexity and risk whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery
  • A comprehensive understanding of the changing NHS and Social Care environment and the challenges they face
  • Experience of working at all levels of the system with internal and external stakeholders
  • Expertise of managing and treating the client group

Desirable

  • Some experience of clinical management of staff
  • Some experience of involvement in project work e.g. quality improvement
  • Some experience of clinical supervision

Skills

  • High level of skill and knowledge in safeguarding and risk management
  • Personal duty of care in relation to equipment or resources
