Job summary
We are looking for a new Organisational Consultant to join the Tavistock Consulting (TC) Team.
Our Organisational Consultants play an important role in designing and delivering a range of consultancy interventions, working with other Consultants as part of a team, and ensuring TC has a successful reputation and operates as a financially viable enterprise, making a sustainable financial contribution to the Tavistock and Portman Trust.
Trained in the systems-psychodynamic approach, and with an understanding of its application in an organisational context, successful applicants will work on a range of change, leadership and organisational development projects for individuals, teams and organisations, often in complex and challenging contexts.
Project delivery encompasses a range of activities including planning, budgeting, design, delivery and evaluation and will require the consultant to engage a range of clients in carrying out individual, team, leadership development and organisational consultancy.
Consultants will be required to work flexibly and proactively to deliver individual and project team performance, commercial focus, client outcomes, increased profile and reputation and ongoing learning and innovation.
They will need to be motivated, adaptable and an effective multi-tasker. They will be equally effective working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team and able to work under pressure and at times to demanding deadlines.
Main duties of the job
With excellent written and verbal communication skills, whether face to face or online, the post-holder will be comfortable working across different organisational contexts and ideally have experience of managing relationships with external partners and other stakeholders at senior levels.
Working as a member of a small, expert team, the post-holder will proactively build relationships with immediate colleagues, associates and other stakeholders across the Trust. They will also support our Senior Consultants in leading projects and developing new business opportunities.
Identify new commercial opportunities for Workforce Innovation Unit offerings, and contribute to written proposals, tenders, pitches and presentations and successfully converting these to sales to clientorganisations across all sectors
Design and deliver world-class, cutting-edge organisational consultancy interventions, which have a significant impact on organisational performance. This includes a range of activities aligned withorganisational aims, sponsor objectives and participant concerns including a diagnostic approach where appropriate, expert process facilitation of groups, change consultancy and bespoke programme design and delivery.
