Job summary
We are recruiting a 7 session Associate Lecturer post to join a diverse and talented team of substantive staff and visiting lecturers to deliver the programmes and contribute to sustaining the Trust's national and international reputation in the field of systemic and psychodynamic approaches to training social workers.
The post holder will work flexibly across a range of programmes to provide teaching, supervision and tuition including on our qualifying Masters in Social Work (M23), our Professional Doctorate Advance Practice and Research: Social Work and Social Care (D55) and on a range of CPD courses. The Masters in Social Work (M23) is jointly delivered with University of East London and the Professional Doctorate (D55) is part of the Integrated Professional Doctorate (IPD) and is validated by the University of Essex. The programmes sit within the Interprofessional Portfolio in the Directorate of Education and Training.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an effective supervisor and a working knowledge of psychodynamic and/or systemic theories, interventions and approaches to research. They will offer high quality supervisory and teaching experiences across the portfolio supporting the Trust's reputation as a leader in education and training in health and social care.
The role of Associate Lecturer has been introduced to enable flexible delivery within a portfolio of courses, and where appropriate, across portfolios. It aims to facilitate the post holder in implementing a wide range of skills within an integrated post. The post holder will also be involved in recruitment and assessment processes and will assist flexibly in all aspects of course delivery within the portfolio and other portfolios where relevant.
