Job summary
You will join Camden Mental Health Support Team (MHST), which is an early intervention service that provides support to children, families and schools through advice and sign posting, delivering brief evidence-based interventions as well as helping to develop and implement whole school approaches to mental health. The MHST is part of the Camden CAMHS which delivers high quality care to the local population of 0-18 years olds.
You will be the link Practitioner to a selection of primary and secondary schools. You will have a role in building relationships with the school community, working with the Designated Mental Health Lead with their Whole School Approach as well as attending School Planning meetings to provide advice and sign posting.
You will carry a case load and provide interventions in line with your professional Child Well-Being Practitioner or Education Mental Health Practitioner training at an individual, targeted and universal level across Camden Primary and Secondary schools with parents/carers, children and young people.
You will have weekly clinical supervision with an MHST Supervisor along with fortnightly group supervision. The supervision will include: clinical caseload management and supervision of individual therapeutic work, groups and whole class interventions. For example, Guided Self-Help Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Parenting support for challenging behaviour and a therapeutic play model called Nurture.
