Job summary

We are looking for an experienced rota co-ordinator, ability to work on own initiative to identify and resolve issues. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of general medical and Speciality Medicine staffing across the division. They will be responsible for entering locum shifts for medical staff and act as the first point of contact for issues relating to junior doctors including sickness reporting.The post holder will be supported by General Medicine and Speciality Medicine, Service managers and General Manager. They will work closely with medical rota co-coordinators, clinical leads, divisional clinical directors and bank partners to ensure there is safe medical staffing provision for Division.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the medical staffing rotas across the divison, working on own initiative to identify and resolve issues, taking action as deemed appropriate. The post holder will co-ordinate, log and monitor all types of leave for medical staff, including consultants in the division.They will act as the first point of contact for issues relating to junior doctors, including sickness reporting, annual leave, study leave, shift swaps and organising locum cover. This will include involvement in induction and training days. The post holder will work with the consultants and HR to co-ordinate and administer all recruitment within the division. They will work with the medical team to ensure statutory mandatory compliance for all medical staff.. The post holder will assist and support the Operational team in entering locum shifts on healthroster for all medical staff

This role will work across all the divisional specialities with particular focus on General Medicine and Speciality Medicine.
