Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 4 Team Leader to join the award-winning Therapies Department at Whipps Cross Hospital. You'll be working within a supportive and friendly team, overseeing administrative staff at Whipps Cross and across our satellite sites at Wanstead and Chingford Hospitals.
Main duties of the job
o Lead a team of Band 2/3 receptionists and secretaries, managing their daily tasks and ensuring smooth clinic operations.o Supporting attendance, including sickness and leave requests, via electronic systems.o Deputise for the Admin Manager as needed and support with staff development and training.o Oversee and maintain the staff administration rota, ensuring sufficient coverage across all sites.o Handle patient and staff enquiries and assist with front-line reception duties.o Collaborate with the Therapy Service Manager, Admin Manager, physiotherapists, and other support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
o You will be required to work across Whipps Cross, Chingford, and Wanstead Hospitals, which may include evening shifts.
o E-Referral system knowledge is essential for processing GP referrals, with training available for CRS familiarity.o Communication and computer skills are key to success in this role.
