Job summary

The Pharmacy Department at Barts Health NHS Trust is one of the largest in the country and covers a population of 2.5 million. We provide clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services from our five hospital sites across the City of London, East and North East London.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and forward thinking Medicines Safety, Information and Governance team.

The post holder will work as part of a dedicated team to lead and develop the Medicines Safety, Information and Governance Service. The post holder will support the role of the Trust Medication Safety Officer & Lead Pharmacist Medicines Safety and Governance for the organisation, management and development of the service across the Trust.

Candidates should possess significant experience of working in Medicines Safety and Governance and should demonstrate an ability to assess and manage risk, initiate and manage change.

Main duties of the job

This is a trust wide role working as part of a dedicated team to lead and continuously improve the safe use of medicines both within pharmacy and outside. The post holder will support the role of the Medication Safety Officer (MSO), Senior Pharmacist Medicines Safety and Quality and other members of the Medicines Safety, Information, and Governance Team (MSIGT).
