About the Role:

You will be expected to provide high-quality care in both general obstetrics and gynaecology

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the obstetric and gynaecological care for women with an interest in colposcopy, vulval disease, and other related conditions, ensuring the delivery of patient-centred care.

Provide clinical expertise in the management of complex cases involving the cervix, vagina, and vulva, including colposcopy and vulval biopsy procedures.

Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other multidisciplinary team members.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the obstetric and gynaecological care for women with an interest in colposcopy, vulval disease, and other related conditions, ensuring the delivery of patient-centred care.

Provide clinical expertise in the management of complex cases involving the cervix, vagina, and vulva, including colposcopy and vulval biopsy procedures.

Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other multidisciplinary team members.

Collaborate with the gynaecological oncology team, sexual health services, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care to patients with vulval disease and abnormal cervical findings.

Ensure high standards of clinical governance, quality control, and safety in all aspects of the service.

Participate in regular audits, departmental meetings, and clinical governance

We are looking for a consultant who is:

  • On the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview
