We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Sexual Health Nurse to join our forward-thinking and supportive team.
The post will be primarily based at the Ambrose King Centre in Whitechapel and the Sir Ludwig Guttmann Centre in Stratford, including associated satellite clinics.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a dynamic and evolving specialty.

Please note: When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High Cost Area Supplement) is not included for non-medical roles. This ensures fairness and consistency within our organisation, as some of our sites fall under inner HCAS, while others are classified as outer HCAS.
Main duties of the job
Across all our services we have an established service model of nurse delivered level three sexual health provision. We are looking to recruit dynamic sexual health nurse to join our existing team who provide integrated sexual health care to a diverse population in North East London.
As a Band 5 nurse, you will:
- Take detailed sexual histories and assess needs for STI testing, contraception (including EC and PrEP), pregnancy testing, and vaccinations
- Perform procedures including phlebotomy, cervical cytology, microscopy, IUD removals, cryotherapy, urinalysis, and pregnancy testing
- Administer treatments and vaccinations, including intramuscular injections
- Carry out genital examinations and STI screening for both asymptomatic and symptomatic patients
- Supply and administer medications and contraception via PGDs or prescriptions
- Following training, fit, remove, and replace subdermal implants
