We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 registered Nurse to join our Maternity Immunisation Team at The Royal London Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust--one of the busiest and most diverse maternity services in the UK.

This is an ideal post for a nurse seeking to develop or strengthen their career in public health nursing, particularly in the area of antenatal and new-born care. You will play a key role in supporting the implementation of national screening and immunisation programs that promote the health and wellbeing of pregnant women, babies, and their families

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with the Band 6 Clinical Lead for Maternity Immunisation Team and the Band 7 Lead Midwife for Antenatal and New-born Screening to:

Assist in the delivery of the maternal immunisation program (pertussis, influenza and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccines)

Promote awareness and uptake of antenatal and newborn screening services

Provide evidence-based advice, support, and education to women and their families

Support and educate midwifery and maternity staff around immunisation procedures and best practice

Help improve health equity and access to public health services across our diverse population

You'll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, committed to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes and addressing health inequalities in East London.
