A fantastic leadership opportunity has arisen to drive forward nursing, midwifery and allied health professional education and training for nursing, midwifery and AHPs (NMAHP) at Barts Health. Reporting to the Education Academy Managing Director, you will be the director lead to ensure NMAHP regulatory standards are met and for the effective delivery of the NHS Education Contract with NHS England.
With a team of over 60 staff, we are seeking a compassionate and inclusive strategic leader to provide expert advice and guidance to the Trust on nursing, midwifery and AHP education, and to ensure this is fully integrated with future hospital-based models of care and education strategies.

Main duties of the job
You will have highly sophisticated partnering and customer care skills to forge close working relationships with group-level and hospital-based director teams, and external stakeholders and HEI partners. This will include providing expert educational delivery and professional knowledge of complex educational funding and pathways of care to non-clinical colleagues.
Forward thinking and innovative, the post holder will work closely with the Group Chief Nursing Officer and her team on planned changes to nursing, midwifery and AHP education, including workforce transformation, new funding and regulatory requirements and the implications for patient-centred care.
