We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced therapist to provide clinical leadership to our ASD Assessment Service.
As an ASD Assessment Service we are responsible for providing assessments for Autism in Tower Hamlets. We do this through our MDT team providing evidence based assessments, formulating diagnoses and signposting families to post diagnostic local services.
The ASD Therapy Lead will carry out and participate in clinical assessments, MDT discussions, triage and managing clinical pathways. You will monitor waiting lists and contribute to data reporting. You will represent Barts Health at a Strategic level, working with NEL counterparts and commissioners to develop services and pathways. You will work closely with Heads of Therapy and Team Leads to think about overall ASD provision within the borough and develop services in tandem. You will provide line management to the team and promote a culture of safe, compassionate and efficient care within the team.

Main duties of the job
ASDAS is a multidisciplinary service providing diagnostic assessments to CYP with suspected autism in Tower Hamlets. The role has responsibility for providing expert support, advice clinically and operational oversight to ASDAS. The role includes clinical & professional components through clinically supporting the staff in the team by providing supervision and guidance as appropriate. The post holder will develop key links with colleagues in Tower Hamlets and North East London and will be an identified person to represent the service with wider stakeholders involved in the local Autism strategy. The post holder will also be involved in developing, implementing and monitoring integrated pathways, ensuring effective quality assurance systems are developed and evidence based practice is implemented.
