Nuclear Medicine Staff Nurse -Band 5

Our leading and a state-of-the art Nuclear Medicine department is looking for enthusiastic and capable staff nurse to be a part of our highly specialised team. Barts Health NHS Trust provides treatment and investigations mainly as an outpatient but also for in patients, across all age groups and specialities.

We use the latest Imaging techniques and reliable approaches to facilitate a comfortable and a caring experience whilst at the centre. Our department is busy and one of the most comprehensive PET/CT & Nuclear medicine department in London.

Main duties of the job

All our staff work closely together with multi-disciplinary group to continually provide an effective, dignified and high quality patient care.We offer you the opportunity to work within different clinical areas within Nuclear Medicine, PET and imaging across the trust.You role is Nuclear Medicine nurse. You are expected to care for the patient attending PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine procedures at SBH. You will also be rotated to different sites within the Trust so it will allow you to expand your knowledge in performing our procedures.As part of your role, you must be proactive, flexible, helpful, a good communicator, and would like to become a valued member of our team. It is important that you are someone who interacts with patients and staff effectively as well as possessing extensive patience. If you have the attributes that we are looking for, apply and work with us to pave your nursing career to gain specialist knowledge and skills in your practice.This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and acquire specialist skills from patient assessment, cannulation, providing health education, ECG application and interpretation, and increase your understanding and competence for Radiation Protection.
