Job summary

We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Nutrition team within Gastroenterology. This post is ideally suited to those who are proactive in their approach to their work and able to work both alone and part of a team. The post holder will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and must be able to communicate clearly.

The post holder will be an accessible, patient focused and helpful point of contact.

Key tasks include:

Being the first point of contact for service users, including patients.

Maintaining clinical databases.

Ensuring patient records are updated accurately and in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to provide general office support to the nutrition team based at the Royal London Hospital although cross-site cover may be required on occasion. These duties will include, but are not limited to:

to be the first point of contact for our large cohort of nutrition support patients.

ensure accurate data entry on adhoc visits and telephone calls from patients.

ensuring timely uploading of the information for budget purposes.

maintaining clinical databases on excel spreadsheets.

ordering of stationary supplies required by the team.

updating CRS with relevant patient reports.
