Job summary
This role is a rotational post through various aspects of the finance and procurementfunction of a NHS Hospital Trust in order for you to achieve the apprentice standard(Key skills, certificate/diploma and technical certificate) within the specifiedtimescale.
You will gain insight into how the Trust maintains its financial and budgetaryrequirements and how through good systems of control and governance supportsthe Hospital in delivering its clinical and operational objectives.
This is an 18 month Level 3 Apprenticeship training programme and it is expectedthat you will attend and complete all training sessions for the programme whenevernecessary and will positively contribute to each of the areas within the rotation. Uponcompletion you will have the opportunity to apply for the next level of theapprenticeship programme in either Procurement and Supply or ProfessionalAccountancy.
Main duties of the job
You will be working across a broad range of services under the supervision of thedepartmental staff and will assist in the provision of services within that department.
You will gain an insight into Income, Financial Accounts, Procurement and Logisticsand various aspects of Financial Management including costing and audit.
You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge but will be expected to workwithin the relevant procedures and policies of the Trust and at all times under thesupervision of a senior member of staff
