Job summary
Applications are invited for Locum Rhinology Consultant in ENT Surgery to join a team of consultants in the Ear, Nose and Throat department at the Royal London Hospital.
This is an 5.5 PAs (6 PA until 1st October 2025) appointment offered as a 12 month locum post to cover a career break.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve time shared across both sites for both outpatient clinic and theatres, which will include the ENT surgical hub at Whipps Cross. It will also include attending the Severe Asthma Service at St Bart's Hospital to provide ENT rhinology support as part of the MDT team.
The on call rota is based at the Royal London Hospital and consists of 1:7 Monday to Friday and 1:25 weekends and Bank Holidays to cover emergencies, inpatients, and the trauma service. The weekend rota is shared with Whipps Cross and Queens Hospital Romford covering ENT inpatients at the three sites.
The Trust supports the requirements for continuing professional development (CPD) as laid down by the GMC and surgical colleges and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities.
The Trust has the required arrangements in place to ensure that all surgeons have an annual appraisal with a trained appraiser and supports surgeons going through the revalidation process.
