Job summary
Barts Health NHS Trust are looking to recruit a Locum Clinical Fellow in Dermatology for maternity leave cover. The successful applicant will rotate between Whipps Cross University Hospital and The Royal London Hospital during the appointment and be responsible for providing general inpatient and outpatient dermatology care, with participation in the out-of-hours on call rota. Administrative duties will include the regular dictation of clinic letters, discharge summaries and participation in medical audit and governance. The post also offers the opportunity to develop a sub-specialty interest in tertiary dermatology specialties. There is expectation that a successful candidate would engage with existing research programs and clinical trials across Barts Health. All junior staff will have a responsibility towards the teaching of medical students and may be requested to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Main duties of the job
The job plan for the successful applicant will include consultant lead ward rounds, biopsy lists, general dermatology clinics, 2WW clinics, emergency dermatology clinics, biopsy lists and dedicated time for research, admin and teaching.
There may also be a requirement to participate in the out of hours non-resident SpR on-call rota (17:00 - 20:00 Mon-Fri, 09:00 - 20:00 Sat-Sun).
