An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, Band 3 Healthcare Nursing Assistant to join our Networked Dialysis service at Barts Health NHS Trust.

Bart's Health is home to the UK's largest renal & haemodialysis unit, across a wide variety of clinical specialties.Our world class services include Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Transplantation, Community Dialysis, Acute Dialysis, Research, Palliative Care, Renal Assessment, Living Donation, Acute Kidney Injury and Chronic Kidney Disease, based at our brand-new hospital building near the City of London.

The post holder as a member of the multi-disciplinary team will be working in the haemodialysis unit and will be required to work with patients. You will assist in delivering haemodialysis treatment and other care needs of the patients under the supervision of a nurse associate and the registered nurse. You will be providing individualised patient care by listening and communicating effectively to patient and within the multi-professional team.

Main duties of the job

As a member of our Multi-disciplinary Team you will be required to work with patients who have renal failure and are receiving dialysis. You will be required to assist their care under the supervision and direction of a nurse associate or a registered nurse.

The post holder will provide individualised care by listening and communicating effectively to the patient and within multi-professional team.

The post holder will take responsibility for the standard of the environment within his/her identified area of responsibility, ensuring colleagues and patients maintain cleanliness, good infection control practice. He/she will support nurses and doctors in delivering high standards of care in Haemodialysis at home or in the hospital setting.
