Job summary

We are looking to recruit an Advanced Surgical Practitioner (ASCP) to join our Robotic theatre team, which covers Colorectal, General Surgery, Gynecology and upper GI Surgery

The Theatre case mix is challenging and specialties include: Upper and Lower GI, General Surgery, Urology, Maxillofacial , Head and Neck, ENT, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Elective and Trauma Orthopaedics, Emergency Theatres, Day Surgery and Paediatrics and Robotic surgery.

The Theatre teams are passionate about getting it right for patients and their families and in order to achieve this we are looking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individuals. Once appointed we will build upon your experience and support you in your new role.

Main duties of the job

To provide expert assistance and support in robotic surgery to the Consultant Surgeons, SPRs, theatre staff and patients involved in robotic surgery

To provide a nurse specialist / Surgical First Assistant qualified nurse/ Surgical First Assistant (SFA) role.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide guidance and support based on advanced level knowledge to health professionals concerning a specific disease/condition.

Demonstrates significant advanced knowledge and skills within speciality and sphere of practice.

Supports training within the Robotic surgery theatre team

Have corporate identity as an expert within the specialist area of robotic surgery.

Lead and provide training and education across the organisation in relevant area of practice
