Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sister to join our wonderful team within cardiology at Barts Heart Centre.

Ward 3D is a cardiology ward where we care for patients stepped down from CCU and Inter Hospital Transfers. Patient in 3D undergo for a variety of procedures, mostly interventional but also electrophysiology. Our caseload includes patients with congenital heart conditions, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias and heart failure. The procedures include, but are not limited to, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), complex intervention cases (like CTO and Rotablation), structural procedures (like TAVI, ASD, PFO closures, PVI), complex ablation procedures, device implants/extracts and lead repositions and research studies.

Main duties of the job

St Bartholomew's Hospital, the oldest hospital site in England, is home to world-leading cardiac and cancer centres, providing state of the art treatment to our patients in the very heart of the City of London. We offer robotic surgery, ECMO, complex electrophysiology and are a leading provider of stem cell transplantation and immunotherapy for cancer treatment.
