We are offering an exciting opportunity for individuals to join our security team as part of a 18-month apprenticeship program. As an apprentice, you will work towards becoming a key member of our established security team, providing a highly visible, patient-focused, and professional security service. Our goal is to create a safe, secure, and crime-free environment for all patients, staff, visitors, and the public.
About the Role:
During the apprenticeship, you will undergo comprehensive training and gain hands-on experience across various Trust sites, including The Royal London, Mile End, Newham University, St Bartholomew, and Whipps Cross Hospitals. Flexibility in location, working hours, and travel is essential.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop towards becoming a fully trained and experienced security officer within a healthcare setting.
- Provide a visible and approachable security presence.
- Ensure the safety and security of all patients, staff, visitors, and the public.
- Attend to incidents and emergencies across multiple Trust sites.
- Participate in educational and development programs to achieve the necessary expertise and competencies.
