Group Director of Strategic Infrastructure - VSM Tier 1
Barts Health is keen to welcome an enthusiastic new director who will understand the importance of collaboration across North East London and with other partners. It is absolutely critical that the new Group Director of Strategic Infrastructure shares, and role models, the group's values.
The role will require careful navigation of strategic capital projects against a finite level of resources. This will be done in conjunction with the Finance team and senior responsible officers. This person will have direct accountability for the directorate's budgets and the associated workforce. The Group Director of Strategic Infrastructure will work on developing a structure that responds to the demands of today including compliance assurance and collaboration of partners.
Main duties of the job
This role forms a vital part of the strategic leadership of the Trust, and its ability to deliver, now and in the future, world-class quality of care to a growing population. This is an ambitious and substantial brief with responsibility for leading some of the largest developments in the NHS. Barts Health is a significant player in the collaboration work across the North East London system. There are great opportunities for the function to expand across a bigger footprint by demonstrating the benefits of collaboration. Creation and delivery of an estates strategy which is aligned with the Trust's overall clinical strategy is vital to Barts Health's continued sustainability and further development towards becoming an outstanding organisation.
