Research Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research Business Development team at Barts Health NHS Trust
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in research management, delivery, performance monitoring and research feasibility.
The Research Business Development Manager will be key to providing local expertise, knowledge and business intelligence to support the development and growth of clinical research activity across the Trust. This will include timely and accurate data analysis and reporting against key performance indicators.
The post holder will be highly organised with the ability to think and plan creatively to manage, prioritise and deliver on a range of tasks in the face of competing demands. They will have attention to detail and experience of interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels having sound judgement in dealing with complex and sensitive issues and the provision of a first-class service to our research community.

The Research Business Development Manager will:
- Lead on the operational management and facilitation of research feasibility process across the organisation
- Support delivery of the commercial research strategy to grow the research activity across the entire organisation.
- Lead on monitoring commercial research activity providing support to address challenges to ensure maximum potential to meet the Trust commitment on research participant recruitment
- Support with horizon scanning to identify new clinical research opportunities and utilise local knowledge and business intelligence to promote Barts Health research capabilities.
- Work with research teams and support departments across the Trust and QMUL to understand research interests, capabilities, capacity and challenges to delivering high quality clinical research
- Support the Associate Director of Research Business Development in establishing new and nurturing existing commercial research partnerships.
Monitor and report on key study/ patient/ process metrics.
