A Great opportunity has arisen forEstates Operations Manager (Electrical Bias) role to manage the Electrical services and Building Fabric Team within the Estates Department at Newham University Hospital which is currently undergoing various Transformations to improve the care and service for the Newham population.

We are looking to recruit an initiative-taking and flexible Estates Operations Manager to lead a team of directly employed staff for the delivery and performance of the Retained Estate and Technical support.

The Estates Operations Manager (Electrical Bias) will be responsible for the supervision and management of the Estates Team and Specialist Contractor Support

You will be required to participate in the Estates emergency on-call rota as required which may require out of hours working at the Newham.

Maintain effective working relationships across all operational/clinical services and corporate divisions within the Trust and external organisations

Main duties of the job

The role will also include responsibility for ensuring that the hospital has compliant value-for-money service contracts for all specialist Estates maintenance services working closely with colleagues at other Trust sites to standardise contracts where appropriate. This will include working with Trust Procurement specialists to ensure that all contracts are fully compliant with Trust Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs).

Assist in preparing business cases for EFM capital funding.
