Job summary

The Pharmacy Department at Bart's Health covers a population of 2.5 million. We provide clinical pharmacy, medicines management & medicines optimization services from our four hospital sites across the City of London and East London.

If you have an eye for detail, excellent communication skills and desire to work within a friendly team, this job is for you. You will be responsible for coordinating, supervising &supporting department induction & training to all new, rotational &permanent staff and for keeping accurate and up to date records of the training.

You will be joining a diverse team, who take pride in providing a high quality & efficient medicines supply service to the Trust, to ensure that patients receive the best care. You will be involved in many different aspects of supplying medicines.

You will be part of the senior pharmacy technician operational management team to assist with managing workflow, meeting KPIs &line management responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the dispensary &be a role model within the operational team.

Main duties of the job

To support the Lead Pharmacy Technician - Operations with the day-to-day management of the dispensary, including organisation of workload and supervision of all staff in the dispensary.

To provide training to all new, rotational and permanent staff, keeps accurate up to date records of training you have provided and update training manuals on a regular basis.
