Job summary
The Royal London Emergency Department is looking for a forward thinking, highly motivated Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team within a busy and rewarding Major Trauma Centre.
The Royal London Hospital is a major trauma centre with a hyper-acute stroke unit providing urgent specialist treatment to North East London and beyond. We are an innovative team, integrating pioneering, world class care to provide efficient, patient centred approach to emergency medicine.

We feel this strongly reflects our on-going mission to strive for excellence and provide the best possible emergency services.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic nurse with relevant Emergency Department experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills with empathy and compassion at the heart of the care that they provide. You will be expected to deliver high quality care clinical care, promote and maintain high standards of nursing care within the current service. You will be expected to take charge of the A&E department for shifts on a rolling rota with the support of a Senior sister/charge nurse. You will be actively involved in shaping the future of the Royal London Emergency Department and will be supported in achieving your career goals in relation to developing clinical, management and leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
Our department is also able to offer several exciting secondment prospects including the Physician Response Unit. This opportunity, unique to our department, incorporates a nurse into the pre-hospital MDT response unit . We encourage 'nurse champions' to take a lead in an area of care that interest you and support the team in project work for quality improvement.
You will have relevant Emergency Department experience and emergency care qualification; you will be committed to patient care and staff development with a desire to promote change and development throughout this energised team.
