Job summary
The Division of Emergency Care and Acute Medicine has an exciting role for a Band 5 Medical Staffing Co-ordinator for Medicine. As part of our team, you will be working closely with our senior management, clinical & nursing leadership teams to support with the day to day running of the Medicine rota.
We are looking for an individual with great communication skills, sound IT knowledge and have a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate staffing for the medical rota is created and circulated to the staff within a timely fashion. This also includes the on call Rota (Junior Dr and Consultant) are also staffed and maintained and finally managing/escalating the gaps on the Rota as necessary.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a key role in actively managing the day to day processes of the medical rota across the Division of Medicine. The successful candidate use their experience to ensure a smooth and efficient management of this process and work closely with key medical and operational staff within the Division to escalate concerns and update processes as the service moves forward with Rota Management.
Key functions of the role include:
- To act as Medical Staffing Coordinator for the Division for the provision of cover for annual, study and sick leave for all medical staff
- To provide administrative support to the General Manager, Service Manager & Specialty Leads in managing all medical staff
- To provide accurate and timely information related to medical staff management including compliance with Junior Doctor Contracts, appraisals and monitoring leave.
