Main duties of the job
- To challenge unsafe practice and take relevant action to ensure appropriate safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
- Be available to provide day to day support to staff in response to presenting safeguarding adults concerns.
- Ensure record keeping is maintained in accordance with Record keeping policy.
- Support the named professionals for safeguarding in the development and delivery of training programs
- Manage the safeguarding referral process to include generic in-box and patient record systems so that referrals are actioned and recorded robustly
- Competent in managing datix and recording on hospital systems
- Competent in audit processes and recognising when to undertake audit for service improvement.
- Deliver safeguarding adult level three training to practitioners and bespoke training such as domestic abuse, mental capacity & DoLs.
- Provide line management to Band 3 Administrative staff or temporary staf
