Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • To challenge unsafe practice and take relevant action to ensure appropriate safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
  • Be available to provide day to day support to staff in response to presenting safeguarding adults concerns.
  • Ensure record keeping is maintained in accordance with Record keeping policy.
  • Support the named professionals for safeguarding in the development and delivery of training programs
  • Manage the safeguarding referral process to include generic in-box and patient record systems so that referrals are actioned and recorded robustly
  • Competent in managing datix and recording on hospital systems
  • Competent in audit processes and recognising when to undertake audit for service improvement.
  • Deliver safeguarding adult level three training to practitioners and bespoke training such as domestic abuse, mental capacity & DoLs.
  • Provide line management to Band 3 Administrative staff or temporary staf

  • Registered Nurse or equivalent or allied health professional or social worker
  • BSc(Hons) or working towards

  • More than two years post registration
