Job summary

Ward 7E is looking for a highly motivated Band 6 children's nurse to join our team on our 24 bedded Medical and Respiratory children's ward. The ward caters for both non-complex and complex medical patients, including, Endocrinology, Epilepsy, Haematology, Respiratory, and children requiring Long Term Ventilation.

This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of supporting and further transforming the nursing team into an experienced, innovative, and integrated workforce.

We offer development training for our band 6 cohort through our LEADER course as well as allocated time for management training to progress you to a band 7 post in the future.

The Royal London is in a unique state of being both a DGH and tertiary referral center and therefore offers huge variety in terms of the nursing caseload . We have an enthusiastic, supportive and motivated Nursing Team, an extensive CNS team and a team of experienced PDNs and Band 6s who can offer support and clinical expertise.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a similarly enthusiastic children's nurse who is passionate about the care of children and their families, as well as the well-being of colleagues and who shares our vision for the future of the Children's Hospital at the Royal London.
