An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Audiology team at Barts Health.
This post is a full time, permanent position and the post holder will be the Lead Audiologist at Hackney Ark and Royal London Hospital with advanced specialist knowledge in the field of paediatric audiology. The purpose of this role is to provide professional leadership and strategic management for the Paediatric Audiology service in City & Hackney and Tower Hamlet, including the development of strategic frameworks which are robust, auditable and concur with acceptable best practice.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring, through their own work and managing others, that the departments plans, systems, structures and processes for managing clinical quality, risk, controls assurance and local patient and public involvement initiatives are in place, and that these are carried out and managed efficiently.
Main duties of the job
Barts Health provide a Paediatric Audiology service to the City & Hackney and Tower Hamlet population which is delivered from the Royal London Hospital, Hackney Ark Health Centre and Homerton Hospital. This is a full-time, permanent post and the post-holder will be the Lead Audiologist for this service and will have specialist knowledge in the field of paediatric audiology. The purpose of this role is to provide professional leadership and strategic management to the paediatric service, including the development of strategic frameworks which are robust, auditable and concur with acceptable best practice.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring, through their own work and managing others, that the department's plans, systems, structures, and processes for managing clinical quality, risk, controls assurance and local patient and public involvement initiatives are in place, and that these are carried out and managed efficiently.
The post holder will have the delegated responsibility for the provision and strategic development of the third tier paediatric audiology service serving the City & Hackney and Tower Hamlet residents, with support of the Lead Audio-vestibular Physician.
The Paediatric Team Lead will undertake audiological diagnostic assessments and habilitation of children, including leading/supervising Audiologist led sessions and working jointly with the Lead Audio-Vestibular Physician and other team members.
