An exciting opportunity exists for a Supply Chain Development Manager at the Barts Health within the Procurement & Supply Chain Department. To support the delivery of highest quality healthcare services, we are seeking an innovative and talented individual to join our Procurement & Supply Chain Team. With an aptitude for supply chain and inventory management the post holder will be involved in exciting supply chain transformation projects, service management & delivery, inventory optimisation and process improvements.

Main duties of the job
- To ensure effective value for money across the supply chain and achieve financial savings targets.
- To further develop inventory management system capability and proactively contribute to supply chain service expansion.
- To maintain an efficient and effective stock management strategy adapting to changing business need as required
- To support the development and implementation of the Barts Health Procurement & Supply Chain strategy, with particular emphasis on inventory management.
- To guide the Supply Chain team to improve business processes, implement inventory optimisation & product standardisation and enhance service delivery.
- To support the Deputy Director of Supply Chain & Performance in the delivery of strategic supply chain projects across the Trust to facilitate performance enhancement, process efficiency and better value.

- Significant (usually 5 years) experience of working in senior role responsible for system management and improvement in Procurement and Supply Chain environment.
- Demonstrable staff management and development experience
- Understanding of DHSC Scan4Safety guiding principles underpinned by GS1 and PEPPOL (Pan European Public Procurement OnLine) standards.
- Proven proficiency in the use of Procurement and Inventory Management Systems, ideally within a healthcare or FMCG setting.
- Significant previous experience of project management within a complex organisation
