Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated administrator to join our busy Dermatology booking team. You will support the departments efforts by booking into minor operations and cancer treatments.

The Dermatology booking team consists of eight other staff members who share responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of Dermatology services at The Royal London Hospital. The team is experienced and friendly.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to provide administrational support to the Royal London Hospital Dermatology Service. To schedule patients for minor ops surgery and provide administrational assistance. Answer any queries that patients have in relation to appointments, documentation etc. The post holder will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure an efficient and effective service in order to meet patients' needs. The role will range from scheduling patients for minor op's procedures, handling patient queries, clinic management and additional administrational duties.

You will be responsible for scheduling minor op procedures within the department, liaising with multi-disciplinaries in organising clinics. This is an exciting and pivotel role in ensuring and arranging patient care on a number of pathways including. Care and empathy are essential in providing a compassionate care for our patients on the suspected cancer pathways.

You will work closely with the rest of the admin team and the operational management team to ensure additional clinics are booked fairly and equitably such that the longest waiting patients are offered treatment first.
