Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator

Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated person who would like to join our exciting team as an Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinators on a permanent basis within the Trauma and Orthopaedics POD. The role will be Full Time (37.5 hours). The successful candidate will help support with the day-to-day outpatient queries and schedule Orthopaedic patients appointment in the Barts Health Orthopaedics Centre.

Main duties of the job

  • The role involves managing Patient treatment by scheduling outpatient appointments in the Trauma and Orthopaedics department, liaising with nurses in arranging fracture appointment. Dealing with GP referrals on ERS. You will oversee a various sub-specialty of patients, ensuring their treatment is in line with RTT guides and the local access policy.

    Scheduling new appointments from referrals received via GP surgeries and A&E
  • Editing and correcting Outpatient clinic letters (G2 Letter Dictations).Collect and deliver referral letters from consultants and other departments on a daily basis.
  • To be responsible for the timely processing of all incoming and outgoing
  • To support PPCs with printing documents derived from the transcription
